- Andhra Pradesh state road transport corporation was established on 11th January 1958 in pursuance of the Road Transport Corporations Act 1950.
- Initially, in the year 1932, it was NSR-RTD (Nizam State Rail & Road Transport Department), a wing of Nizam State Railway in the erstwhile Hyderabad State
- Back then it had 27 buses and 166 employees.
- Over the past 77 years, it has registered a steady growth from 27 to 14,123 buses with 427 bus stations, 128 Depots and 692 bus shelters
- These buses cover 43.22 lakhs KMs. and carry 71.93 lakhs people to their destinations every day. Moreover, they connect 14,123 villages to all major towns and cities of Andhra Pradesh which constitutes 95% of Road Transport.
- It covers towns and cities in the neighbouring States of Tamil Nādu, Karnataka, Odisha, Telangana
- The entire network is under the administrative control of 12 Regional Managers in 4 Zones.
- It has entered Guinness world record for owning the largest fleet of buses in 1999

Step 3: Click on fresh registration
Step 4: Now, the following options will appear on the screen

Step 7: Verify the filled information and click on ok
Step 8: Temporary ID will generate on your screen
Step 9: Save this temporary ID for future reference
Step 10: Click on the temporary ID. Your application form will appear on your screen
Step 11: Take a printout of this form
Step 12: After that click on click here to update detail button for update or edit any detail

What are the Terms and Conditions to Apply for a Bus Pass on APSRTC Portal?
Read all the fowling terms and conditions before applying for a bus pass on the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) portal.
- Students studying in Evening College shall enclose an Unemployment Certificate issued by the concerned Head of the Institution.
- Free bus passes are eligible for below 12 years for boys up to 7th class and girls below 18 years up to 10th class. Free bus passes will be issued only up to 30th September.
- Concessional bus passes for the students will be allowed up to the age of 35yrs.
- The entire image consisting of the photo, along with the signature, is required to be scanned and stored in jpg format on a local machine. Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. If the size of the file is more than 50kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the xdpi resolution, no. of colours etc., during the process of scanning.
