Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling: Registration & Deadlines

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, will start NEET UG Counselling 2021 from December 30, for the state quota seats, according to a news release issued by the State Common Entrance Test Cell of the government of Maharashtra. 

Medical aspirants will be able to register and apply online for NEET UG counselling at the official website.

Maharashtra NEET Undergraduate (UG) Deadlines

The last date to apply online for state medical seats is January 5, 2022. However, the last date to upload the coloured, scanned copies of all the original required documents is January 6, 2022, before 5pm.

According to the official notification, Maharashtra NEET counselling will be conducted for the following courses, for which students have applied.

  • Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine & Surgery
  • Bachelor of Homeopathy, Medicine & Surgery
  • Bachelor of Science- Nursing
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
  • Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology

The Maharashtra NEET provisional merit list will be released on January 8, 2022, according to the official notification.

“The Admission Process for Health Science Courses in the State of Maharashtra will require NEET All India Rank of the candidate to be filled during the Registration Process. Only NEET All India Rank needs to be filled up during the Online Registration Process. No other Rank should be entered,” an official statement said.

Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2021: Documents Required

For registration, all candidates have to upload the following documents at the time of registration:

  • NEET 2021 admit card
  • Copy of online application form filled at mahacet.org
  • NEET marks sheet
  • Nationality certificate
  • HSC (Class 12) marks sheet
  • SSC (Class 10) certificate for age proof
  • Aadhar Card
  • Domicile certificate
  • Medical fitness certificate

In addition to these, candidates belonging to reserved categories will have to submit certain documents including caste certificates and domicile certificates.

“It will be the sole responsibility of the candidate to upload all the necessary documents and also familiarize herself/himself with online preference filling system for admission to Health Science Courses,” the Maharashtra NEET counselling official statement added.

  • Candidates must visit the official website of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell cetcell.mahacet.org
  • Go to the home page and click Go on the ‘NEET UG 2021’ tab.
  • Click on ‘Registration’ and read all the instructions carefully.
  • Click on the direct link – Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2021 registration.

Fill the required details and upload the required documents.

Remember to keep the scanned, coloured copies of your Admit Card of NEET 2021, copy of NEET online application form, NEET marks sheet, Nationality Certificate, HSC (Class 12) marks sheet and certificate, SSC (Class 10) certificate for age proof, Aadhar Card, Domicile Certificate and medical fitness certificate at hand to ensure that you face no hassles during registration.

Fees for NEET Maharashtra Counselling

Cost of online application is NEET-UG 2021 is Rs. 1,000 for state quota for all course and for Institutional Quota Rs. 5,000. For both quotas, the fee is Rs. 6,000 for MBBS and BDS courses only. 

The application fee is not refundable. Therefore, all candidates should go through the NEET information brochure carefully and find their eligibility. All these fees have to be paid online  through the NEET portal only and a printout of the receipt has to be maintained by all applicants for future reference.
