The country was met with sad news on March 9, as veteran actor-director Satish Kaushik passed away at the age of 66. It was reported that Satish suffered a heart attack when he was traveling in a car in Delhi, which ultimately led to his passing early this morning.
After the postmortem, Mr. Kaushik’s body will be brought to Mumbai this afternoon, and the funeral will take place soon after. Before his death, let’s take a moment to reflect on the life of the late actor.

The news of veteran Bollywood actor and director Satish Kaushik’s passing has been confirmed. He was 66 years old. An emotional note on social media by Anupam Kher, along with a photo of both actors, stated, “Actor Satish Kaushik passes away”.
Kaushik had a heart attack on his way to the hospital in New Delhi. Just the day before, he had attended a Holi party hosted by veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar and shared photos on his official Twitter account with Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, and others.
Satish Kaushik was one of the most talented actors in Bollywood, known for portraying memorable characters such as Manu Manek Mundra and also Advocate Sadhuram.
Kaushik sir was born on April 13, 1956, and was not just an actor but also a director, producer, comedian, and screenwriter. Kaushik sir was an alumnus of the National School of Drama and also the Film and Television Institute of India. Kaushik had been married to Shashi Kaushik since 1985.

Yesterday, Mr Kaushik arrived in Delhi to celebrate Holi with his friends. The day before, he had attended a Holi party at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s home in Mumbai and had posted joyful photos on social media.
The police are currently gathering information about Mr Kaushik’s whereabouts during the daytime. However, they do know that he was at a farmhouse in Bijwasan when he began feeling unwell. He was taken to Fortis Hospital in Gurugram, but unfortunately, he did not survive.
Mr Kaushik’s manager, Santosh Rai, was among those who rushed him to the hospital. Speaking to the news agency ANI, he said, “He went to sleep at 10:30 pm. Around 12:10 am, he called me, complaining of breathlessness.”
As Mr Kaushik had come from Delhi, the hospital informed the Delhi Police. The police moved Kaushik’s body to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for an autopsy, which was conducted this morning. The body has since been handed over to Mr Kaushik’s family.
The police are currently in contact with Mr Kaushik’s companions, who helped take him to the hospital for further investigation.
