Aikyashree is an online scholarship program by the West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation, designed to support financially disadvantaged students and those belonging to minority communities.
It is a commendable initiative that promotes talented students and provides them with financial assistance.
Funded entirely by the West Bengal State Government, the Aikyashree scholarship covers all educational expenses for deserving students, including hostel fees and free school and college education for meritorious students.

Aikyashree Scholarship schemes Name
Aikyashree Scholarship Portal, run by the West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation, offers five government scholarship schemes for students in 2023.

Aikyashree Scholarship schemes Eligibility
West Bengal Pre-matric Scholarship (SC/ST Students)
- The student must be a resident of WB.
- The student must be in Class 9 or 10.
- The student must belong to either the SC or ST category.
- The annual family income should not be more than Rs. 2 lahks.
West Bengal Post-matric Scholarship
- The student must be a resident of WB.
- The student must belong to either the SC, ST, or OBC category.
- Eligible students are those studying in Class 11, 12, Graduation or Post Graduation.
- The annual family income should not be more than Rs. 1 lakh for OBC, Rs. 2.5 Lakh for ST, and Rs. 2 Lakh for SC students category students.
Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship, West Bengal
- The student must be a resident of WB.
- The student must be female.
- Candidates should have completed Class 12th from any school board.
- The student must pursue education in the fields of Engg, Medicine or Basic Science at a recognized institution in West Bengal.
Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)
- The student must be a resident of WB.
- The student must be studying in Class 11th or 12th.
Hindi Scholarship Scheme in West Bengal
- Reside in West Bengal
- Belong to a non-Hindi speaking state
- Have passed Madhyamik, higher secondary, graduation, PG or an equivalent degree course
- Scored a minimum of 60% marks in the earlier qualifying exam, in the first attempt, with Hindi as one of the subjects

Application Process for the scholarship
To apply for the scholarship, follow these steps:
- Visit the official website.
- Click on ‘New Registration 2020-21’ on the home page.
- Select your district on the next page.
- The application form will then appear on your screen.
- Fill in all the necessary details in the form.
- Upload the required documents.
- Click on the submit button to complete the application process.
Application Renewal Process for the scholarship
- Go to the scholarship’s website.
- Click on the ‘Renewal Application 2023-24’ button on the homepage.
- Fill in your Application ID, Date of Birth, District, and Captcha Code on the next page.
- Click on the ‘Login’ button.
- The application form will appear on the screen.
- Enter all the required details and attach the necessary documents in the form.
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- Your application will be renewed after submitting the form.
Forgot ID Password Restore
If you forget your Aikyashree Scholarship Application ID or Password, you can retrieve it easily by following these steps:
- Visit the official website of the Aikyashree Scholarship.
- Click on the ‘Student’s Login’ option.
- Click the ‘Forgot User ID / Password’ link given on the login page.
- Select your Scholarship Registration Year, Institution District, and Registered Mobile Number, Date of Birth, Bank Account Number or Application ID.
- WBMDFC will send an SMS containing the Application ID and Password.
Scholarship Application status Track
To track your Aikyashree Scholarship application status for 2023, follow these steps:
- Visit the official website of WBMDFC.
- Click on the ‘Track Application’ tab in the menu bar.
- Select your District, Application ID, and also DOB.
- Enter the given captcha code from the screen.
- Finally, click on the ‘Submit’ tab.
