You can schedule your passport interview appointment on the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) portal. After completing the passport application and paying the passport fee, this can be done.

Before issuing the passport, an applicant goes through various document verification and identity verification processes.

Passports are issued in different categories for both fresh and reissue passports.

Diplomat Passports, J & K or Naglanad residents, Minor passports, Indian citizens other than by birth; these special passport categories are available.

  • You must have applied for a passport on the official website of the Passport Seva Kendra
  • You need to upload a valid ID card and address proof.
  • You need to pay the total amount of the passport processing fee.

Step by Step Guide – How to Reschedule Passport Appointments?

Step1: First, visit the official Passport Seva Kendra Portal.

Step 2: Select the existing user login option.

Step 3: Enter username and password and click on the continue button.

Step 4: You can see the services column on the next page.

Step 5: Click on View Saved/ Submitted Applications.

Step 6: Choose the applicant’s name and scroll down.

Step7: Click on Schedule Appointment for Application Submission

Step 8: Click on the Next button.

Step 9: Check appointment availability

Step 10: Choose your preferred date.

Step 11: After scrolling down a little bit, select your nearest PSK/Camp/Mela location.

Note: The list displays PSK/RPO/Camp locations based on the pin code or district selected by you.

Step12: Enter the captcha code given in the box.

Step 13: Click on the Next button.

On the next page, details of your appointment booking will be displayed. Read and check it carefully.

If you desire, select an alternate appointment date.

Step14: Click on Book Appointment. Your application booking is confirmed.

Step15: Print the application receipt for future reference.

Further, you can get a printout of the application receipt or get an application SMS.

Note: Carrying the print of our Application Receipt is not necessary. An SMS with your appointment is also accepted as proof of application during a visit to the passport Seva Kendra portal(PSK) / passport office.

Documents Required for Passport Personal Interview at the PSK:

An applicant must submit correct documents to get a passport approved and dispatched on time.

The documents are required to apply for a passport interview are as follows:

Address proof (Current)

Aadhar Card, Electricity bill, Water Bill, Income Tax Assessment order, Rent address, Spouse’s passport copy, Voter ID, certificate of an employee from reputed company card are accepted as Address proof.

Date Birth Proof:

  • Any authority who has been empowered under the Registration of Birth and Details Act,1969.
  • Transfer / School leaving / Matriculation Certificate.
  • Policy Bond is given by public Life Insurance Corporations / Companies having Date Of Birth (DOB) of the insurance policyholder. 
  • If you are Government Servant: Copy of the extract of the service record.
  • If you are a retired Government servant: Copy of the pay pension.
  • Duly attested /certified by the officer /in-charge of the Administrative of the concerned Ministry/ Department of the applicant.
  • Aadhaar Card/E-Aadhaar.
  • Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC)
  • PAN Card
  • Driving license
  • Date of Birth confirmation by Head of orphanage or Child Care home in case or Orphanage/Child

The above documents are accepted as birth proof.

How Many Times Can I Reschedule and Cancel my Aassport Appointment?

You are allowed to reschedule or cancel only two appointments in 12 months. It is free of cost.

If you apply more than two times, your application will be rejected, and you have to resubmit a new passport application and pay the total amount.

The fees you have already paid will not be refunded; thus, choose the date and time as per your availability.
