Actually, TANGEDCO is a subsidiary of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. In fact, TANGEDCO is responsible for supplying electricity to commercial units and households in the state alongside Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation (TANTRANSCO).

  • In case of joint property, certified copies of proof of ownership such as legal heir certificate along with parent documents specified above and consent letters from co-owners. If consent letter is not produced, an indemnity bond with enhanced security deposit
  • If the applicant is not the owner, consent letter from owner in Form 5 or valid proof of occupancy and indemnity bond in Form 6
  • If the applicant requires the load more than 112KW, scan the Undertaking form for more than 112 KW-Download and upload in pdf format

Documents Required for Temporary Supply

  • Recent Property Tax Receipt
  • Certified Copy of proof of ownership such as sale deed/ partition deed/ gift settlement/allotment letter/ computer patta or ownership certificate issued by revenue department officials or court judgement or recent property tax receipt
  • In case of joint property, certified copies of proof of ownership such as legal heir certificate along with parent documents specified above and consent letters from co-owners. If consent letter is not produced, an indemnity bond with enhanced security deposit
  • If the applicant is not the owner, consent letter from owner in Form 5 or valid proof of occupancy and indemnity bond in Form 6
  • If the applicant requires the load more than 112KW, scan the Undertaking form for more than 112 KW-Download and upload in pdf format
  • If the applicant requires the supply for construction of new building, additional construction exceeding 2000 sq.ft, supply for lavish illumination-hoarding and advertisement boards, accept to give the Undertaking form

  • On the registration page, select the existing service connection number and then click enter.

  • The consumer number will be available on the first page of your EB card.

  • Now enter a new username and your email id.

  • If there are no transactions done with that account, it will automatically delete the account within seven days.
  • After registration, the government will send a mail to make a new registration.

Add Service Number in TANGEDCO Online Payment

After creating a new account in TANGEDCO for free, you have to add your service number.

  • Go to the TANGEDCO website, log in to your account.
  • On the right side, click on Add service number and then select your region.
  • In the add service number page, enter your customer number and click on ‘check details.’
  • The portal will display all your details like customer name, address, and service status.
  • Check those details. If the details are correct, then click on the confirm button.
  • You can see the added account in the account summary.

TANGEDCO Online Payment Procedure

Below is the step-by-step procedure for making TANGEDCO online payments.

  • Go to the TANGEDCO web portal https://www.TANGEDCOnet.org/awp/login.
  • Log in to your TANGEDCO account.
  • Now a page opens with the payment details. Your bill amount and due date are displayed on that page.
  • To make payments, click on the Pay Now button. It will guide you to the payment options page.
  • On the payment options page, you will have the following options.
  • Credit / Debit Card Payment
  • Net Banking Payment
  • Other debit card payment

TANGEDCO Payment through Credit / Debit Card

  • Choose any of the listed payment gateways to make payment through credit/debit cards.
  • After selecting the payment gateway, the terms and conditions and condition page will open.
  • Select the checkbox to agree with the terms and conditions, then click on Confirm pay.
  • It redirects you to your chosen bank’s Payment gateway. Choose payment methods such as RuPay, Visa, Maestro, Master, etc.
  • Then enter the details of the credit or debit card and complete the transaction.
  • Once your payment is successful, it redirects you back to the TANGEDCO website.
  • Your TANGEDCO E-receipt will be displayed. You can print it out.

TANGEDCO Online Payment through Net Banking 

To do the payment, the TANGEDCO online user has to go through net banking.

  • Select your Net banking account from the displayed list to make your payment through Net banking.
  • After selecting the payment gateway, the terms and conditions and condition page will open.
  • Select the checkbox to agree with the terms and conditions, then click on Confirm pay.
  • The online bank account page will open.
  • Log in to your net banking account to make payment.
  • Once your payment is successful, it redirects you back to the TANGEDCO website.
